First loss of the season. Iowa State jumped out to an early lead behind the three point shooting of Alison Lacey, who ended up with 35 points.
Michigan cut the lead to 10 at one point, but couldn't get any closer. Krista Phillips had a big game (21 points), but most of the rest of the team couldn't really get untracked. Poor shooting all around (53% from the free throw line, 25% from 3 point range and 35% overall) pretty much kept the Wolverines from having any chance to make up the early deficit.
Toss in being out rebounded 37-27 and you've got the ingredients for a tough night.
