I ended up not making it to the game after all. ("Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans"). The michigandaily has two articles about the game (here and here) and mlive had a write up as well. The "official" page can be found at mgoblue.com with a boxscore and photos.
A win is always nice. The free throw shooting woes from the exhibition game seem gone and the field goal percentage (44%) is ok. Turnovers (19) are still a huge concern and 3pt shooting in the 2nd half (10%) obviously needs to be better. The rebounding margin (+3) against a smaller team is a worry as well.
Ta'Shia Walker (17 points and 9 rebounds) and Stephany Skrba had very good games (9 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocks).
The big question is - will the team continue to improve? They'll need to play better as the schedule gets tougher.
