Minnesota 63 Michigan 48

Too many turnovers and poor shooting in the second half doomed the Wolverines. They kept up the effort, but could get nothing going offensively after half time. This was senior day and after the game the team honored Katie Dierdorf, Ta'Shia Walker, Janelle Cooper and Krista Clement.

Minnesota changed their defense in the second half. Seemed to cause Michigan problems.

Agreed on Minnesota's defense. Michigan went through one of those spells where even the open shots wouldn't fall.

I also wonder if they were frustrated by Minnesota's physical play that (in the first half) the ref's allowed.

My daughter was having fits about the pushing and shoving, especially #45 (Knight, maybe?). She kept saying, "Look at what she's doing!" She was happy when they started calling fouls on her in the second half and was rooting for her to foul out.

She also took an extreme dislike to Emily Fox, but that was more about her general competence than style of play.
