Michigan travels to Columbus to play Ohio State this evening at 7:00pm. The Buckeyes are currently the only ranked team in the Big 10 (ranked 21st AP/20th USA Today). They are led by freshman center Jantel Lavender (16.8 pts/game, 9.7 rbds/game) and Marscilla Packer (15.2 pts/game). Due to the big 10 only playing 18 games, this will be the only regular season meeting between Michigan and Ohio State. (The Wolverines will also skip a trip to Minnesota this year.)
It will be interesting to see how Michigan plays this evening. They are much improved this year, but have struggled on the road against good teams (Notre Dame, Texas A&M, Iowa State). A win would obviously be huge, but a good effort would bode well for the rest of the conference season.
