Michigan opened with a solid road win today in Lexington. The Wolverines had big games from freshman Courtney Boylan (18 points) and Melinda Queen (a career high 15 points). It was a team effort, with solid contributions from Krista Phillips (11 points, 6 blocks), Jessica Minnfield (10 points) and Stephany Skrba (9 points, all in the second half).
Michigan shot 50% from the floor (vs 32 % by Kentucky). It wasn't all roses however, as Michigan was out rebounded 44-34 and committed 21 turnovers.
