Expectations were tempered for the first-year coach.
He inherited a past-its-prime program. He inherited a roster stocked with nothing but holdovers from an underachieving legacy. He heard from pretty much everybody that it would take years before he had the talent to compete.
It took about three games for Kevin Borseth to drown out those voices. Borseth led the University of Michigan women's basketball program out of its wilderness and into one of the biggest one-year turnarounds in the country.
Now it's time for his encore.
